The lacerta was introduced from Hevelius in 1690. Evidently it did not have
to make a good impression, from the moment that was two important attempted
to cancel the snake. The first one was Augustin Royer, than in the 1697
understandings to commemorate Luigi XIV with a scettro and the hand of the
justice; subsequently attempted also Johann Elert Bode creating the Glory of
Federico, trying to bring to light itself to the eyes of Federico II of Prussia;
the two but did not have more fortune than Hevelius.
