The constellation represents one of the most famous Greek heroes of mythology. In the sky Perseo
is placed in a wide circle that includes the protagonists of its myth: Cefeo, Cassiopea, Andromeda
and the Pegaso. Perseo was son of Zeus and Danae, in its turn daughter of the King Acrisio di Argo.
This last one, taken care from a oracolo that had foretold its dead to work of a its grandson,
locked up its daughter in one prison. But Zeus, succeeded equally to fuck Danae transforming itself
in golden rain that it entered in the cell where had been locked up and it was deposited sweetly on
she. Perseo born and Acrisio sealed mother and son in a case of wood that threw in sea. Zeus made
so that the case ran aground in the beach of the island of Serifo, where a fisherman, Ditti, found
it, freeing the two men hungry and dursty. The fisherman offered they hospitality and raised Perseo
like a son its. The brother of their saver was Polidette, the King of the island, that fall in love
of Danae and it wanted it like its spouse. This last one but did not want any to know and Perseo was
forced repeatedly to defend it from its attempted of seduction. Polidette planned therefore a plan
in order to unravel of Perseo: it made to believe not to want more its mother and that he wanted to
marry instead Ippodamia, the daughter of the King Enomao, but for this had need of horses to give
like wedding gift. Not having Perseo the money in order to buy a horse, for joke said to the King
that it was even disposed to give the head of Jellyfish, for leave the mother from its sights:
Polidette profited for the incautious words of the hero and asked to make just that enterprise.
Medusa, Steno and Euriale, were the Gorgoni: three brute sisters daughters of Forco, a God of the
sea, and its sister Ceto. They had the power to petrify anyone had watched to them in face. Medusa,
only dead woman between the three, a time was a beautifulst child a day came fucked from Poseidone
in the temple of Atena, than, furious for the profanation of its temple, it condemned she and the
sisters to the eternal brute and transformed its beautifulst hats in snakes. Polidette hoped in the
dead women of Perseo, but in case the hero was successful in the enterprise, however would have
obtained the head of Medusa that he would have used as arm in order to guarantee its power. But
Perseo, was son of the father of Gods and obtained from Mount Olympus a great arsenal: Atena gave
a bronze shield, Efesto, a sword of diamond, Ade, a elmo magical that rendered it invisible and
finally Ermete gave it of the winged sandals with which it caught up in flight the earth of the
three ill-famed sisters. Down there found the others two Gorgoni that are sleeping from which
succeeded to not made to see thanks to its magical helmet. Reached in the presence of Medusa
it gave to them the shoulders, so that it did not remain petrified, and helping itself with the
image reflected on the shield, he clearly cut the head of the woman. From the beheaded body they
jumped the Pegaso outside and the warrior Crisaore, fruits of the relation with Poseidone. Perseo
collected the head and escaped immediately in order to avoid the others two sisters. During the
return travel, flying over the Libia, from the head fell some droops of blood that were transformed
in snakes and that lived in the desert. The adverse conditions of the wind forced it to stop in the
reign of Atlante: this last, afraid one of a oracolo that it had foretold the theft of its apples
of gold from part of a son of Zeus, rejected Perseo, not knowing that instead the oracolo was
referred to Ercole. Then the hero offended showed to Atlante the head of the Gorgone, transforming
it in the mount chain that takes its name today. Continuing its travel he found himself in the earth
of the King Cefeo, where saved the daughter of this last one , the beautiful Andromeda, chained and
destined to the sacrifice in order to calm the fury of the monster that had upset the reign (you see
Andromeda and Cassiopea). Later on finally he reached in the island of Serifo, caught up the King
Polidette who in its absence had intensified its tyranny, and he petrified it with to its follows.
Ditti becames king and Perseo married Andromeda, from which he had many sons (some say that the king
of Persia is reductions exactly from Perseo). While the grandfather of the hero, Acrisio, came
effectively killed from the grandson, as the oracolo he had foretold, but only for mistake during
one competition of launch of the disc. The brightest star is Alpha Persei, dictates also to Algenib
or Mirfak ("flank" and "elbow" in Arab). In correspondence of the head of Medusa that the hero holds
in the left hand is Beta Persei, that is Algol, from the Arab "ras to the ghul", that he means "the
head of the demon": it is in truth constituted from two stars many neighbors between they that they
turn one around to the other and that eclipsed provoking one constant variation of brightness.
